The camera is built to see in low light conditions - murky water, at the deep or in the shaded side of structures. 4K HDR holds detail across bright reflections and deep shadow in the same frame, and 8x zoom lets the pilot read a weld seam or hull marking without moving the drone closer.

The Nvidia Jetson Orin NX is a highly capable SoC well designed for edge computing for AI and computer vision, opening up new scenarios and use-cases, such as object detection and tracking, collision avoidance and situational awareness using sonar and camera for longer or more complex autonomous missions.

Positioning systems

A second tool to help you with underwater navigation and tracking is positioning systems. A Blueye GPS enables live position data at the surface. The DVL sensor provides velocity measurements relative to the seabed with a range of up to 50 meters. This combo connects both units in a single Blueye Smart Connector, giving you positioning above and below the surface.

As inspections or underwater operations demand different setups, we encourage you to get in touch with us to help you with a customized package that suits your needs.

Based on feedback from our users we recommend professional customers to include their Blueye X3 Ultra order with an aluminum Zarges case, reel with 150 meter tether, Blueye High Capacity battery and Rugged controller. However, you are free to equip you ROV as you see fit for your usecase. We offer equipment from a wide range of suppliers, and other necessary ROV parts such as tethers come in different lengths.
